Milan - Elegance and Flashes of Brilliance

Milan is a city of movement and style. Everything there seems inhabited by a natural elegance, from majestic facades to hurried passers-by. In this street photography series, I wanted to capture that particular energy, that blend of bourgeois tradition and restless modernity that defines Milan's identity.

The theatre of everyday life.

In the covered galleries as much as in the more working-class neighbourhoods, the eye is constantly drawn by strong visual contrasts. I photographed the light falling sharply on the cobblestones, the silhouettes cut out with precision, and the polished aesthetic of every street corner. It's a city that demands quick reflexes.

The harmony of opposites.

Milan manages to let splendour and austerity coexist. My images explore that duality: the verticality of the Porta Nuova skyscrapers against the grey stone of old palaces. I searched for the balance between the rigour of the frame and the fluidity of bodies in motion, capturing the soul of a city that never stops.
