Series
In the Photographer’s Eye
“The Zinneke Parade” means zinnodes, artists, passersby, onlookers, and photographers, lots of photographers.
I had set out to shoot a photo series on the floats, the performances, and a few portraits too.
On a sunny day, just as I was about to change lenses, I found myself swept up in a tide of people. Face to face with a photographer, I had found my series: having finished photographing the artists and the onlookers, I now found myself hunting photographers. What if I showed you the photographer’s eye?
Each image exists in two versions, the vivid color of the parade and the black and white of a settling gaze. The wall that follows lives on its own: let it be.
