Zadar - In Praise of Light
Zadar is famous for its sunsets, but it's in its everyday light that I found my inspiration for this street photography series. It's a town where the ground is a mirror of limestone reflecting the sky. Walking through it, I felt a constant connection to the sea, even at the heart of the Roman forum or the medieval churches.
The vibration of space.
In Zadar, space is open. I photographed the way people occupy the squares, between ancient columns and modern installations like the Sea Organ. There's a kind of visual melody here, made of repetitions and ruptures. My photos try to capture this urban music, made of footsteps and the murmur of waves.
Shadow and clarity.
The contrast between the cool shadow of the churches and the brightness of the quay is striking. I played with these oppositions to create images charged with emotion. Zadar isn't a town you simply look at; it's a town you feel physically, through temperature and light.
In praise of clarity.
This series is a tribute to clarity. Zadar allowed me to explore the purity of forms in a setting where the sea is never far, bringing an infinite dimension to every shot.
